Aluminium shopfronts in Ilkeston start from about £2,450 plus VAT for a standard opening, with a free survey and a written quotation before anything is ordered.
For businesses in Ilkeston, every job begins with a visit to measure the opening which is how the aluminium shopfronts end up the right size.
Lead times
Manufacture usually takes 3-4 weeks after drawing sign-off. Fitting a standard Ilkeston unit is normally one to two days on site. Early starts and closed-day fitting are both possible.
The product
Aluminium is the default for high-street retail because the sections stay slim, the powder coat can match any brand colour, and the frame will not rot, swell or warp. Options include any RAL colour, including dual-colour frames; toughened or laminated safety glass to BS EN 12150 / 14449.
Our Derbyshire area
Ilkeston is in Derbyshire across the DE postcode district, and we are often working close by in Derby, Chesterfield and Glossop.
Permission and Erewash Borough Council
In Ilkeston, applications go to Erewash Borough Council. Like-for-like work rarely needs consent, but anything that alters the look of the street usually needs consent. We flag it at survey so it never delays the fit.
How much?
The entry price is about £2,450 plus VAT. Your quote depends on the opening size, the finish and how easy access is. Once issued, the price is fixed for 90 days unless the specification changes.
Before you book
Who carries out the work?
Work is carried out by our installation team and approved installers working under S&K Glazing Limited, which contracts with you and is responsible for the job.
Do you cover the whole of Derbyshire?
Yes. We cover Ilkeston and the rest of Derbyshire, including Derby, Chesterfield and Glossop.
What guarantee do I get?
Every installation comes with a written guarantee, and manufacturer warranties on hardware, motors and finishes are passed to you. The terms are set out on your quotation.
Can you match the units either side?
On a parade where the landlord wants a consistent frontage, we work to the same section profile and colour reference so the unit reads as part of the row.
