Security grilles fitted in Birmingham
Security grilles in Birmingham start from about £1,150 plus VAT for a standard opening, with a free survey and a written quotation before anything is ordered.
For Birmingham shops and offices, every job begins with a visit to measure the opening so the quotation for the security grilles is a real figure.
How long it takes
Expect 2-3 weeks after survey for manufacture. Installation in Birmingham is usually a day or two once everything is made. We can fit on a day the business is shut.
What gets fitted
A grille secures the opening while leaving the frontage visible, which suits units inside shopping centres and anywhere a solid curtain is not wanted. You can specify powder-coated to match the frontage; retractable lattice or fixed bar designs.
Nearby
We treat Birmingham as part of our West Midlands round covering B postcodes, which puts it on the same route as Sutton Coldfield, Halesowen and Stourbridge.
Local planning
In Birmingham, applications go to Birmingham City Council. Replacing an existing frontage in the same style seldom needs permission, but a changed appearance, an external shutter or an illuminated sign usually does. The survey confirms which rules apply.
Costs
Budget from £1,150 plus VAT as a starting point. Your quote depends on the opening size, the finish and how easy access is. Quotations stay valid for 90 days.
Common questions
Who carries out the work?
Work is carried out by our installation team and approved installers working under S&K Glazing Limited, which contracts with you and is responsible for the job.
Do you cover the whole of West Midlands?
Yes. We cover Birmingham and the rest of West Midlands, including Sutton Coldfield, Halesowen and Stourbridge.
What guarantee do I get?
Every installation comes with a written guarantee, and manufacturer warranties on hardware, motors and finishes are passed to you. The terms are set out on your quotation.
Can you match the units either side?
On a parade where the landlord wants a consistent frontage, we work to the same section profile and colour reference so the unit reads as part of the row.
