Security doors fitted in Buxton
Security doors in Buxton start from about £1,450 plus VAT for a standard opening, with a free survey and a written quotation before anything is ordered.
Across Buxton, we start by measuring the actual opening, not a photo which is how the security doors end up the right size.
Permission and High Peak Borough Council
In Buxton, applications go to High Peak Borough Council. Like-for-like work rarely needs consent, but a changed appearance, an external shutter or an illuminated sign usually does. We check which applies to your unit at survey.
Costs
The entry price is about £1,450 plus VAT. Your quote depends on the opening size, the finish and how easy access is. Once issued, the price is fixed for 90 days unless the specification changes.
Timescales
Expect 3-4 weeks after survey for manufacture. The install itself rarely takes more than two days for a standard opening. If you cannot close, we can work outside trading hours.
Specification notes
Rear and side doors are where most forced entries happen because they are out of sight. Options include multi-point locking; options tested to LPS 1175.
Nearby
We treat Buxton as part of our Derbyshire round covering SK postcodes, which puts it on the same route as Ilkeston, Glossop and Derby.
Questions from Buxton customers
Do you cover the whole of Derbyshire?
Yes. We cover Buxton and the rest of Derbyshire, including Ilkeston, Glossop and Derby.
What guarantee do I get?
Every installation comes with a written guarantee, and manufacturer warranties on hardware, motors and finishes are passed to you. The terms are set out on your quotation.
Can you match the units either side?
On a parade where the landlord wants a consistent frontage, we work to the same section profile and colour reference so the unit reads as part of the row.
What do you need from me to quote?
The address, roughly what you want, and a photo of the current frontage. Opening sizes help but are not essential, because we measure at survey anyway.
