Glass Shopfronts

Full-height toughened and laminated glass shopfronts for retail and offices.

What's included

Every glass shopfronts project we facilitate is delivered by a vetted specialist with appropriate trade accreditations, insurance and references. The process is straightforward:

  1. Tell us about the property. Submit a quick brief — location, property type, dimensions if known.
  2. Free site survey. A specialist contacts you to arrange a no-obligation site visit.
  3. Quote & specification. You receive a detailed quote covering materials, finish, installation and aftercare.
  4. Installation. Professionally installed to industry standards, with warranty and servicing options.

Why specialist installation matters

Glass Shopfronts sit at the boundary between security, weather-tightness and kerb appeal. Cutting corners on specification or installation tends to surface within twelve months — through misalignment, motor failure, water ingress or rapid corrosion. The specialists in our network are selected for the quality of their long-term work, not the speed of their quotes.

Typical applications

  • Retail premises and high-street shops
  • Restaurants, cafés and hospitality venues
  • Warehouses and industrial units
  • Offices and commercial buildings
  • Listed buildings and conservation areas (where applicable)

Costs & pricing

Glass Shopfronts pricing varies significantly with size, specification, finish and access complexity. For typical commercial premises, you can expect a quote that itemises materials, fabrication, installation, warranty period and any optional aftercare. For a detailed breakdown of typical price ranges across different specifications, see our shopfronts cost guide.

Coverage

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between toughened and laminated glass?

Toughened glass is heat-treated to be 4–5 times stronger than standard, and breaks into small blunt fragments. Laminated is two sheets bonded with a plastic interlayer — it stays in place when broken. Most shopfronts use toughened-laminated, combining both.

Are frameless glass shopfronts secure?

Frameless shopfronts using thick laminated glass are secure against most attack levels. For high-security uses, security-rated laminated specifications (P5A, P6B etc.) provide attack resistance comparable to a steel-framed system.

How are they cleaned and maintained?

Standard glass cleaning is all that's required. The minimalist framing reduces maintenance compared to aluminium or timber. Hardware (handles, locks) needs occasional servicing.

Can I have a sliding glass door?

Yes — sliding, swing, and bi-fold glass doors are all available. Automatic operation can be added to any of these.
