Do you need consent?
The local planning authority for Willenhall is Walsall Council. Replacing an existing frontage in the same style seldom needs permission, though external shutters and lit signs normally need approval. We flag it at survey so it never delays the fit.
How much?
Fire-rated shutters start at around £3,200 plus VAT. Width, height, finish and access move the final figure. Once issued, the price is fixed for 90 days unless the specification changes.
From order to fitted
Expect 4-6 weeks after survey for manufacture. Installation in Willenhall is usually a day or two once everything is made. Early starts and closed-day fitting are both possible.
What gets fitted
A fire shutter holds a compartment line for its rated period and closes automatically when the alarm panel signals. Common specifications: annual servicing recommended; tested and certified as a complete assembly.
