Lead times
Lead time is typically 4-6 weeks after survey. On site, most Smethwick jobs take one or two days. Early starts and closed-day fitting are both possible.
What gets fitted
A fire shutter holds a compartment line for its rated period and closes automatically when the alarm panel signals. Popular choices include drops automatically on a signal from the fire alarm panel; fail-safe release options.
Coverage
Smethwick falls within West Midlands covering B postcodes, so the team is regularly nearby in Darlaston, Birmingham and Wolverhampton.
Permission and Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council
Planning in Smethwick goes through Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council. Replacing an existing frontage in the same style seldom needs permission, but anything that alters the look of the street usually needs consent. We flag it at survey so it never delays the fit.
