What gets fitted
Aluminium is the default for high-street retail because the sections stay slim, the powder coat can match any brand colour, and the frame will not rot, swell or warp. Common specifications: thermally broken or non-thermal sections to suit the unit; any RAL colour, including dual-colour frames.

Planning rules in Chesterfield
In Chesterfield, applications go to Chesterfield Borough Council. Replacing an existing frontage in the same style seldom needs permission, but a changed appearance, an external shutter or an illuminated sign usually does. The survey confirms which rules apply.
